Year 9 News
Vermont Secondary College
It has been wonderful to see so many students appropriately dressed, with the correct equipment and all resources, on time to classes and ready to learn. We have also observed students taking advantage of the lovely weather and using their break times for some exercise and time spent with their friends.
Many students competed with pride and tremendous endeavour in various sports and activities at an individual and team level. Congratulations to those who have progressed further in their chosen activity and well done to all who have represented the school is such an exemplary manner.
Information pertaining to the Year nine camp was made available via Compass to families recently. We have had a great deal of interest and would like to remind families to indicate your child’s desire to attend the term four camp by paying the deposit asap and particularly by the due date next week. We would love for all those wanting to attend to be provided with the opportunity. We don’t want anyone missing out because they haven’t stuck to the timelines stipulated.
We have also been collecting Change of Subject requests from students who may wish to see if they can change from one of their semester two electives. Students can check with their relevant student manager what electives they have for semester two and the options available to them in regard to possible changes. These requests will all be looked at in due course and students will be made aware of the outcome once timetabling has been considered.
Can we remind all students to come to the student managers office in the morning if requiring a uniform pass.
Can we also remind students to come to each and every class prepared for their learning with the appropriate materials and an adequately charged laptop.
We continue to encourage students to visit the student managers office should they have any questions or concerns. We are always here to help.
