STAND UP PADDLE BOARDING

HEAD START – YEAR 9 PADDLEBOARDING

Even if the weather wasn’t giving us summer vibes, our students certainly were—arriving ready to learn, adapt and rise to every challenge. Across the week last week, rain, wind and a very chilly start to a Gippsland summer didn’t deter KSC students from heading to Inverloch for a series of stand-up paddleboarding (SUP), water-safety and beach-safety workshops.

Each group embraced the conditions with enthusiasm, showing resilience, teamwork and a willingness to step outside their comfort zones. From balancing on SUP boards in blustery winds to building confidence in challenging aquatic environments, students powered through every session with energy and positivity.

Our final group wrapped up the program on a high note, displaying the same spirit we saw all week—readiness to learn, courage to try something new and the ability to make the most of whatever the Gippsland “summer” threw their way. A huge well done to all students and staff for an outstanding effort throughout the entire program!
