Sport
SSA Tennis:
As we head towards the 2025 SSA Sporting Year, the following students have been selected to represent Moriac PS at the Moriac Tennis Club in next year's District Carnival,
Sullivan Kahle, Pat Christensen, Hudson Newling and Georgia Menzies
Colour Run:
With one week remaining until the 2024 edition of the MPS Colour Fun Run, our school community has once again gone to great lengths to support this fundraiser.
Our Parents and Friends group continues to grow and if any families have resources, materials to support our event or you are able to assist on the day please let Mr Randall know. aaron.randall@education.vic.gov.au
As part of the promotion to this year's event, as we hit certain Magical Milestones students were selected to slime a teacher. Over the last two weeks, some of the 1/2 Team and Leadership Team have been slimed.
A reminder to all families, if we hit our Magical Milestone of $3 500, Miss Maccora will be slimed by one lucky student. Dig Deep families!!!!
Year 4 Bike Education:
Another fantastic Bike Education was completed over the last couple of weeks. As part of our program, students completed a number of mini assignments, Bike Safety development and skill practicums around our school grounds before heading out to tackle the Moriac Community.
In the News:
In recent days, former Moriac PS student Matilda McBain was part of the Victorian Team in this year's 2024 Australian All Schools Athletics Championships held in Brisbane.Across two events, Matilda finished with one Silver Medal in the U15 Girls 200mt Hurdles and one Gold in the U15 Girls 90mt Hurdles.
An outstanding performance from Matilda and one student I am sure we will keep an eye on in the years to come.
