Bunnings Incursion Brings Life to Our School Garden
Our students were excited to welcome Bunnings for a hands-on gardening incursion! The team brought a variety of in-season seedlings, as well as sunflower and other flower seeds, to brighten up our garden and attract pollinators like bees.
In the lead-up to the visit, students worked really hard to prepare the garden beds, weeding, turning the soil, and doing general garden maintenance to ensure everything was ready for planting. During the incursion, students learned about the importance of seasonal planting and how flowers play a crucial role in supporting pollinators.
Students planted a beautiful mix of vegetables, herbs, and flowers, and are now watching the garden transform. We are so proud of their efforts and can’t wait to see the garden flourish in the coming months! A big thank you to Bunnings for their support and for inspiring our students.
Elf Traps Bring STEM to Life!
Our students have been hard at work designing and building elf traps as part of an exciting STEM challenge, preparing for the arrival of the mischievous STEM/Art room elf. Using their creativity and problem-solving skills, students engineered unique traps designed to outsmart the elf. Their efforts have already paid off, with two traps successfully capturing the elusive visitor! The challenge has sparked plenty of excitement and laughter, while also encouraging critical thinking and collaboration. We can’t wait to see if more traps will outwit the elf in the days ahead!
