Wellbeing Report

Wellbeing Lessons

This past fortnight we have been looking at help-seeking. Our juniors identified which adults they can ask for help outside of school, as well as strategies they can use when asking for help. Our students enjoyed role-playing different scenarios and putting themselves in different characters' shoes to help-seek. Our seniors explored a range of scenarios and gave advice for help-seeking. Strategies included seeking a trusted adult, avoidance strategies, and working with peers to overcome challenges.

Year 5 Young Leaders

Our Year 5’s undertook Day 3 of their leadership workshop at Badger Creek Primary. They thoroughly enjoyed interacting with the other schools, and working collaboratively to complete challenges. Students explored a range of activities, focusing on leadership and the skills and strategies a leader may use. Our Year 5’s are now running Lunch Clubs for the next few weeks to provide activities for students who may feel a little lost at lunch or recess. I look forward to watching their leadership skills blossom during these sessions.

Warburton Kinder Visit

Our Warburton East Year 3 students were lucky enough to visit our kinder friends at Warburton Preschool. Our students showed great maturity and leadership skills while playing and engaging with the kinder students. It appears to be a highlight for the preschool as they hang out the fence on our departure, sad to say goodbye. It is beautiful to witness these connections and friendships strengthening with each visit.
