Felt Character Pillows

During Term 3 students from Years 5 & 6 have been working towards completing a Textile Unit. The title of the unit was 'Felt Character Pillow' and students needed to design a cartoon-like face which showed emotion. Students were taught how to sew a whip stitch firstly on a foam square and then sewing through felt. There were many skills students learnt along the way including: measuring, positioning, drawing, gluing, cutting, sewing (whip stitch and running stitch) and colour choice. Here is a small sample of some of the wonderful pieces from our students.
