OSHClub News

Week 2
What a fantastic second week of Term 4 we’ve had! We’ve enjoyed plenty of delicious food, creative projects, active games and meaningful activities to celebrate World Mental Health Day. The children have also been loving our new rug, which has made our space even cosier for relaxing, building forts and spending time together!
Our Breakfast Club was full of colour and delicious treats this week! The children enjoyed milkshakes, breakfast skewers, homemade Anzac biscuits, rainbow pancakes and yoghurt cones. There was something for everyone to look forward to each morning! Our Snack Squad menu was just as exciting, with salad wraps and burgers, sushi bowls, spaghetti, mac and cheese, and roasted vegetable lasagna. The children had plenty of opportunities to try different flavours and enjoy a variety of tasty meals throughout the week.
To celebrate World Mental Health Day, we explored emotions, wellbeing and the importance of understanding our feelings. The children created their own 'My Amazing Brain' displays, participated in big emotion charades games and designed colourful balloon emotion displays. These activities encouraged the children to recognise different emotions, express themselves creatively and think about the many feelings we experience. It was wonderful to see everyone getting involved, sharing ideas and learning more about their own and others’ emotions.
Our creative spaces were buzzing with imagination this week! The children tried out boat origami, baked cookies from scratch, constructed cardboard picnic baskets and designed their own animal posters. We also created Hama bead landmarks inspired by famous places around the world, giving everyone a chance to explore different designs and practice their patience and fine motor skills. Our chess tournament brought out the strategic thinkers, with children putting their skills to the test and enjoying some friendly competition!
For our physical activities, the children enjoyed Frisbees, Doccer, Farmer Sam, Dodgeball, Marco Polo, Gaga Ball, Octopus, Basketball and Cops and Robbers. With so many games to choose from, everyone had the chance to get moving, work as a team, challenge themselves and have fun with their friends.
Our new rug has been a big hit with the children, especially with our new couches! The space has quickly become a favourite spot for relaxing, chatting with friends and enjoying some downtime between activities. We love seeing the children make themselves at home and take pride in the spaces we share together.
Thank you for another wonderful week at OSHClub! We’re looking forward to another week filled with exciting experiences, new discoveries and plenty of fun together.
Holiday Program Highlights
What an incredible holiday program we had! Across the break, the children enjoyed a huge range of exciting experiences, adventures and special activities. From our action-packed excursions to Gumbuya World and the Royal Melbourne Show, to our movie day and creative experiences, there was something for everyone to enjoy. We also got active with plenty of games and challenges, explored animal-themed activities, enjoyed cooking and craft experiences, and made the most of our time together at OSHClub. A huge thank you to all of the children and families who helped make the holiday program such a success, we loved seeing everyone's excitement, creativity and enthusiasm throughout the break!

Accessing After hours
For the safety of all families, we ask that parents and carers enter and exit through the side pedestrian gate next to Reception when collecting children after hours, rather than through the reception area. This designated access point provides a safer route to the OSHC service and helps minimise the need for families to walk through areas that may not be supervised or accessible after school hours. Thank you for supporting our commitment to maintaining a safe environment for everyone.

Bookings
Online bookings for Rise then Shine and Stay and Play sessions close 24 hours in advance. Online bookings for the Holiday Program and Curriculum Days close 5 days in advance.
If online bookings have closed, and you would like to make or cancel a booking, please SMS the program phone on 0427 144 945.
Cancellation of Bookings
IMPORTANT: If your child is booked in for an afternoon Stay and Play session and that booking is no longer required, please cancel the booking on the iParent Portal. If you are cancelling on the day, please contact us on the program phone before 3:25pm to avoid a non-notified absence fee of $20.00 per child.
We are responsible for all children booked into our care. If a child does not arrive after school care when booked in to attend, we will need to confirm the whereabouts of the child by contacting parents/guardians and emergency contacts. If we cannot successfully do this, it then becomes a missing child incident.
As you can imagine, this can be very stressful!
Thanks for your cooperation by notifying us of any Stay and Play absences.
