Thanks to all the families who attended the Mass for grades one and two last weekend. This was a wonderful opportunity to gather as a community and celebrate Mass together.
We will be having a whole schole Mass for the Feast fo All Saints on Friday 30/10 at 9:15am in the Church. Everyone is welcome to join us. Each class will light a candle to remember those loved ones who are no longer with us. If you would like to be part of this ceremony and light a candle too, please join the opening procession.
Our Grade Six students had a busy and purposeful day on Wednesady making 870 sandwiches in 45 minutes for children who often arrive at school hungry. We are also incredibly grateful to our generous families, who donated a a whole van full of snacks. These will be distributed by Eat Up to schools to support students experiencing food insecurity.
This initiative is a beautiful example of the Catholic Social Teaching principle of Solidarity. Solidarity reminds us that we are all part of one human family and that we have a responsibility to care for one another, especially those experiencing disadvantage. It calls us to look beyond our own needs, recognise the dignity of every person and take action to create a more just and compassionate world.
Through this initiative, our students and families are putting their faith into action, demonstrating kindness, compassion and a genuine commitment to ensuring that every child has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive. We are proud of our Holy Spirit community for living out the Gospel message by caring for others and standing together in support of those in need. Thank you to our wonderful grade 6 teachers for organising this initiative and to our beautiful students for being so caring and for putting our gospel value 'Love one another' into practise.
