PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Dear Holy Spirit Community School,

I hope you are all doing well and settling into Term 4 nicely!

We really enjoyed hosting the morning tea for our beautiful Grandparents/special people! They enjoyed a big spread of savory and sweet morning tea. They enjoyed making connections with fellow grandparents over a cuppa. A BIG THANK YOU to our wonderful community and P & F Association for their GENEROUS contributions of morning tea. We really appreciated it!! The Grandparents/special people certainly enjoyed it! Thank you to Alicia, Joost, Nichole, Lauren, Natalie and Belle for helping me set up on the morning and helping me serve coffee and tea! The P & F looks forward to hosting morning tea again for our Grandparents / special people in 2027!!

We are getting towards the end of the school year, and we really need to fill these roles below so our P and F Association can run in 2027!

Could You Be Our Next P&F Vice President, Secretary or Food Day Coordinator??

Our amazing Vice President, Secretary and Food Day Coordinator are finishing up at the end of the year, and we're looking for enthusiastic parents to join our wonderful P&F Association. These roles are very important and without them being filled we won’t be able to run our P & F in 2027!

Vice President – Support the President, work alongside a fantastic committee and help bring events and initiatives to life.

Secretary

-Attend all meetings and record proceedings of items discussed.

- Prepare and distribute an agenda one week prior to each committee meetings.

- Type and distribute minutes, via email, to all committee members within the week during which the monthly meeting takes place.

Food Day Coordinator- Organise/coordinate each Food Day (one- two per term) – including the printing and distribution

of flyers and reminder notices; collating orders; ordering food and drinks; ensuring there are

sufficient helpers on the day and co-ordinating the day. This role could be shared between two people!

These are rewarding volunteer roles that make a real difference to our school community. No previous committee experience is required, just a willingness, enthusiasm and eagerness to get involved!

If you'd like to learn more or are interested in either position, please speak to Georgette or any of our current P&F Association members. We'd love to have you on the team!

We are also on the lookout for General Members to join us. You can even come to one of our monthly meetings and see all the work we do behind the scenes, and how we run the P and F Association. We always welcome new faces and new ideas. If you have a passion and interest to help our school community and be involved in the fundraising/social side of the school, I would love to hear from you!

Zooper Doopers are back for sale this Friday from 3:20pm onwards for $1.00. We hope to see you there!!!

MUMS NIGHT IS COMING – THURSDAY 26TH NOVEMBER

Our next Mums Night is at The Firehouse in Ringwood on Thursday 26th of November from 7pm onwards! We hope to see all our beautiful mums there!!

COLOUR RUN-TERM 4- FRIDAY 27TH NOVEMBER

One of the brightest events on the P&F calendar is coming up… THE COLOUR RUN! 🥳

Get ready for an afternoon packed with colour, laughter and plenty of fun! 🙌🏻

As a big THANK YOU for all the wonderful support you’ve shown the P&F throughout the year, we’ll be firing up the BBQ and treating every student to a FREE sausage in bread and an icy pole ❄️

We’ll also be getting a whole school photo on the oval following it.

Let’s finish the year with a splash of colour and a whole lot of school spirit! 🌈🎉💛

WORLD TEACHER DAY- FRIDAY 30TH OCTOBER

The P & F is proud to put on a morning tea to help celebrate the wonderful work our teachers and LSO’s do and show them just how much we appreciate them every single day!!! Our teachers/LSO’s inspire, support, nurture, care and empower our children every single day and we are grateful of the impact and positive influence they have on our young children. We thank you HOLY SPIRIT TEACHERS/LSO’s and we value you and your amazing work you do with our children!!!!

2ND HAND UNIFORM SHOP-FRIDAY 20TH NOVEMBER

Our next uniform shop is running on Friday the 20th of November from 2:50pm. We are always looking for donations of uniform items!!
