STAFF ACHIEVEMENTS:
Congratulations to Miss Ellen Dorrough for receiving an award from The Teachers’ Guild of New South Wales. The event was a truly joyous occasion for the Teachers’ Guild of NSW, to celebrate the amazing, talented, innovative, progressive and essential work that educators do on a daily basis to ensure our students have access to and receive the best possible education available. These awards, highlight the achievements and diversity of the education profession across our State.
STUDENT ACHIEVEMENTS:
Congratulations to Charli, Sophie and Audrey who received a Sports Award from Sydney Catholic Schools (SCS) Sport in recognition of their high level of sporting achievement during the year.
Charli: Successful in 2 MacKillop Teams (Swimming and Touch Football) and selected to represent the NSW Girl's Touch Football team at School Sport Australia in Darwin.
Sophie: Successful at 3 MacKillop Teams (Swimming, Cross Country & Soccer) She also made the NSW Girl's Soccer Team to represent at School Sport Australia and also the Metro East AFL Team to represent Sport Australia.
Audrey: Successful at Mackillop Hockey and then onto at School Sport Australia Hockey.
These 3 girls have also been nominated by their MacKillop Coach for awards at the CSNSW ceremony which was held on Monday night. Charli was in the Mackillop NSWCPS Touch Football 'Team of the Year' and Audrey (Hockey) and Sophie (Football) received Maroon awards in their sport. Congratulations girls!
WELL DONE OSCAR!
Oscar is taking part in ‘Swim for sick kids’ raising money for Ronald McDonald House Charities.
Oscar set himself a goal of swimming 50km in November and has already swam 30kms in the first two weeks and is aiming to raise enough money to house a family for one week at RMHC.

STAFFING FOR 2024:
At the end of the year we will be farewelling Mrs Kate-Sarah McGlaughlin who will be leaving to have her second child and Mrs Charlotte Laurence who will be leaving to have her fifth child. Both of these teachers have done a fantastic job in Year 1 this year. We also farewell Deanna Harden who will be going to St John Bosco as Coordinator 2 and Class teacher, Mrs Kath Simpson who is going to ASPECT and Mrs Kayla Birks who is going to St Frances De Sales Woolooware as Religious Education Co-ordinator. Kayla has been here for the past two years and has been a great asset to our staff. Both Kath and Deanna have been at St Patrick's for some years in various roles and we wish all the best for these staff and know they will be greatly missed at St Patrick's. Many of our Learning Support Officers are now qualified teachers so will be doing work in that field so we wish Luke Brown, Isabelle Mahoney-Smith, Tulley McEvoy and Brooke Willoughby all the best and may see them around in our classrooms in the future.
We welcome to St Patrick's Ms Hannah Ascoli, Mrs Nicole Mathers and Mrs Rebecca Pedersen. All of these teachers are very experienced. Hannah has taught in England but more recently at Holy Saviour Melkite Catholic School Greenacre; Nicole comes to us after many years at St Joseph's Como and Rebecca has taught for many years at Holy Family Menai.
