1/2 T Procedures: Learning Through Doing!

This term, 12T have been learning all about procedures! We have explored how to follow and write clear, sequenced instructions through recipes and scientific experiments. In our classroom, students have enjoyed cooking and learning about ingredients, equipment, steps and sequencing.

We also had an exciting Science Incursion, where our students became scientists for the day! Following scientific procedures, they made bouncy balls, slime, instant snow and instant ice cream. Along the way, we explored the materials and equipment we used, observed how materials changed and discussed why each step of the procedure was important.

It was a fantastic opportunity for our students to learn through hands-on experiences, work collaboratively and have lots of fun while developing their understanding of procedures. What a busy and exciting term of learning for 1/2T!
