Hello Kids and Families! 

It’s so lovely to be back and see all your smiling faces again!

I had a fantastic summer back home in Italy, enjoying lots of family time, plenty of sunshine and most importantly, lots of good food.

I’ve returned with plenty of new ideas and I’m excited to introduce some new recipes and flavours for everyone to enjoy. I’m looking forward to making different pasta sauces, tasty meat dishes and, of course, finding some sneaky ways to add hidden vegetables. Don’t worry though — I promise I won’t hide too many!

We’ll also continue to enjoy some delicious desserts, inspired by the wonderful ideas Bridget and Lucia have introduced.

And yes, the favourites are staying! You can still look forward to sausage rolls, butter chicken, carbonara and fried rice. Some things are simply too good to change!

This term, I’d love to start a Kids’ Choice Recipe Box! 

Have a favourite meal? A vegetable you think deserves a chance? Or a dessert that would make everyone run to the canteen?  Write down your idea and pop it in the box! I’ll read all your suggestions, and we may even choose some to cook together. 

It’s hard to believe we’re already at the end of another school term! I’ve loved seeing how the kids have grown in confidence when trying new foods.

I’ve noticed that many of you are now much braver when it comes to “just having a little taste”, and that’s fantastic! Remember, you don’t have to love everything straight away. Sometimes your taste buds just need a few tries to catch up! So keep tasting, keep trying and keep being curious. You never know when you might discover your new favourite food!

I hope all our students and families have a wonderful break filled with adventures, camping, sunshine, good food and maybe even a few marshmallows around the campfire!
