What's Happening in Italian?

Ciao,
Mi chiamo, Paula Di Ciocco, I am the Italian Teacher at Mackellar Primary School.
Term 3, in Italian has been a wonderful opportunity to explore and learn Italian in an energetic, exciting and encouraging environment.
The Grade Preps have been learning about I Colori (The Colours) both in English and Italian. We have been learning Italian songs, Ciao, Buongiorno and L’acrobaleno (The Rainbow song both in English and Italian.
Grade One – This term we are learning about greetings in Italian and acting and performing in pairs and learning about the farm animals both in English and Italian.
Grade Two are learning about the topic, The Family (La Famiglia). We have created a La Famiglia poster labelled in Italian for the Art Show.
Grade Three are learning about greetings and school objects in the classroom. Students have created their own L’astuccio pencil cases and labelled the items in Italian.
Grade Four are learning about the days of the week, months of the year, Calender and how to tell the time in Italian.
Grade Five students are learning about writing a personal profile, Tutto Su Di Me (All About Me) in Italian and visually designing and drawing a self-portrait.
Grade Six students are learning about the topic, Le Regioni d’Italia (Regions of Italy). Students are researching, sharing and discussing about Italian cultural food, traditional music and festivals, sport, famous people, fashion and destinations to explore and discover in Italy.
