Senior School Work Experience Celebrations

We recently celebrated the final day of Term 3 with our Senior Work Experience students, who spent the year at Wallara Logistics, CAPE, and Wav Inc Pack & Assemble.

All three workplaces have provided our Heatherwood students with wonderful opportunities to learn, grow and develop valuable workplace skills in a practical and supported setting. Students have built confidence, developed independence and gained a greater understanding of what it means to be part of a workplace team.

Families were invited to join us for our final day celebrations and share in this special achievement with their child. It was a wonderful opportunity to recognise the students’ hard work and celebrate the progress they have made throughout the year.

Next term, we are excited to explore three new work experience opportunities! Students will have the chance to experience working at Knoxbrooke Nursery, Vinnies Kilsyth Op Shop or Wav Inc Notting Hill. We look forward to another term of learning, new experiences and developing valuable workplace skills.

Year 10 Work Experience

Our Year 10 students recently enjoyed three exciting days of Work Experience, exploring a variety of workplaces and discovering what it is like to be part of a working team.

Across the three days, students had the opportunity to try new tasks, learn from workplace mentors and develop valuable skills in a practical setting. It was fantastic to see students stepping outside their comfort zones, building confidence and discovering their individual strengths and interests.

Work Experience is a wonderful opportunity for our Year 10 students to begin exploring the world of work and developing skills that will support them as they prepare for their future pathways.

A big thank you to all of the workplaces and staff who welcomed our students and supported them throughout their three days. We look forward to continuing to provide our students with meaningful opportunities to learn, grow and explore their future!
