State Championships
On the last weekend in May, the MGSC Dance and Aerobics squad set off to Rowville Secondary College to compete in the State Finals competition. Whilst everyone was hoping they’d achieve a berth to Nationals to compete against the rest of Australia in Tasmania in August, we were really aiming for an improved performance from the regionals competition just a few weeks ago.
The day was full of excitement as many athletes from our school were awarded with medals for their performances, and others maybe not with a medal but still reaching the cut off to qualify for nationals.
We are so proud of each and every member of our squad and the performance they gave on the day.
We had 25 of our 38 competing entries qualify for nationals and as a squad achieved an amazing five Gold medals, eight Silver medals, and six Bronze medals.
After a very exciting day at State finals, the squad will now continue their hard work in preparation for nationals in a few months. Full results:
