LNPS Futsal Gala Day Success!
Our LNPS Boys and Girls Futsal teams recently took part in the FSA Futsal Gala Day at Roma Mitchell College, and what a fantastic day it was for all involved! The weather was perfect outside when we had our breaks, and our students represented LNPS, showcasing our School Values and Learner Qualities through their outstanding teamwork, sportsmanship, and enthusiasm.
Across the day, both teams played three matches, showcasing their skills, ability and impressive understanding of the game. From the first whistle to the last, our players worked incredibly hard, moving the ball at speed from end to end, keeping strong possession, and finishing with confidence. Their ability to score in a variety of ways was a highlight, with goals coming from fast breaks, well-placed passes, and some exceptional individual moments. We have some seriously talented players this year!
Boys Results
- LNPS 17 – 0 St George College
- LNPS 12 – 0 North Haven Primary
- LNPS 8 - 2 Trinity College
The boys displayed excellent teamwork, communication, and relentless defensive pressure, resulting in some outstanding scorelines. We even managed to get our super GK onto the court, which the boys then made it their mission to get Patrick on the scoresheet, which he did!
Girls Results
- LNPS 14 – 0 Trinity College Mixed Team
- LNPS 6 – 4 Ingle Farm Mixed Team
- LNPS 2 – 4 North Haven Primary
The girls showed fantastic determination and resilience across all games, with a great mix of confident passing, strong defending, and clinical finishing. Their final game was a tight contest, which went back and forth with both teams leading at different points.
The most pleasing part of the day was the joy, connection, and pride on display. Every player gave their best effort, supported their teammates, and embraced the fun and challenge of the competition. The smiles, laughter, and excitement throughout the day were a testament to just how much they enjoyed the experience. It was also great to see some of our students demonstrating Care & Concern towards the opposition. When other players fell down, our students stopped (mid-game) and helped pick them back up. Well done, everyone!
