Lockleys North Primary School – Community Night Flute Performance
Our flute students opened the LNPS Community Night with their first outdoor performance, building on a successful Term 3 assembly and showcasing the progress of our new Instrumental Music Program, which offers two weekly woodwind lessons.
Following this event, I supported the Le Fevre High School Combined Band Concert, celebrating continuing band students from primary schools across the western suburbs. The concert was supported by Woodville High School leadership and other current and former leaders.
We sincerely thank our students, parents, teachers, and audience members for their continued support.
Student performers:
Year 6: Avielle, Ethan, Mabel
Year 5: Rory
Year 4: Maria, Amelia
Special thanks to those who managed music stands in the wind, and to Rory for her assistance with IT during the Year 4 performance.
We look forward to finishing 2025 on a high note and continuing to grow our Instrumental Music Program in 2026.

2026 Music Lessons
Lockleys North is excited to welcome back the Department's Instrumental Music Program in 2026.
Students in Years 5 and 6 (possibly Year 4) will have the opportunity to learn the flute or clarinet.
If your child is interested in lessons, please fill in this enrolment form and return it to the front office.
Students will participate in small group lessons, once a week, with a maximum of 8 students per group.
Lessons will be on Thursday afternoons, 1:30 - 3 pm.
The students will need to commit to a year of learning, with parent approval provided, and there will be a cost involved with the hire of the musical equipment.
