Junior School Update

What an exciting time it has been since our last newsletter! Below are some of the highlights and learning focuses:
- Our Foundation students celebrated their 100th day of school, marking a wonderful milestone in their learning journey!
- The Junior School learnt the do’s and don’ts of all things dogs at a fantastic Responsible Pet Ownership incursion.
- Mrs Chmiel has been busy putting together the annual F-2 play, ‘The Gingerbread Man’ and the Years 3-6 are in their rotations for Music: covering music theory, ukulele and garage band digital music production.
Science has been a focus in integrated studies. There has been lots of hands-on learning, watching for physical and chemical changes in foodstuffs.
In Art, students are enjoying learning about printing using different methods and materials.
- The Year 5/6s are building their knowledge around the Goldrush and Federation in preparation for their Ballarat camp in Term 4.

Our Foundation Students Are 100 Days Brighter!
On 15 August, our Foundation students marked a very special milestone – their 100th day of school! The occasion was celebrated in style with the colourful dress-up theme, “100 Days Brighter!”
Throughout the day, the students took part in a range of fun and creative activities focused on the number 100, before rounding off the celebrations with a special visit from their Year 6 buddies.
It has been an absolute joy welcoming these young learners into our school community this year. We look forward to sharing many more days filled with learning, friendship and adventure!
Baking Up a Showstopper!
In Music this term, our Foundation and Year 1/2 students have been busy learning 'The Gingerbread Man'.
They’ve been enthusiastically practising lines, songs, dances and even playing instruments – all in preparation for a special performance for family and friends next term.
If the early rehearsals are anything to go by, this show is going to be a treat for our school community!
