Performing Arts

All students have had a fantastic start to Performing Arts this year! Students who are not currently involved in Performing Arts will do so in Term 3 & 4.
In our lessons we have been focusing on embodying the PROUD values and using a positive mindset in the classroom.
In the first week of school, students were introduced to Drama and Dance. Term One will be focusing on drama and Term Two will be dance!
Term 1 so far!
Students have been learning how to use their bodies and voices to act like other characters. They have explored how we need to use our voices and actions in different ways to tell stories.
Students have continued to work on their improvisation skills. The grade 5’s have been learning all about the competitiveness of Theatre Sports. The grade 6’s have learnt some tricks as part of their unit on Commedia Dell Arte.
Soon students will be working on their own performances that they will show to other students in their class.
