VET and Careers

On February 23 and 24, our Certificate III in Dance teacher Samantha Farley attended the Empower Dance Compliance Summit in Adelaide.
The 2026 Summit offered an expanded program of interactive sessions, practical workshops, and valuable networking opportunities designed to support and inspire educators.
The Summit focused on strengthening mentorship and student advocacy, designing curriculum responsive to student needs, maintaining student safety and wellbeing, keeping programs current through regular standards reviews, and using feedback and research to continually enhance Certificate programs.
Sam is looking forward to sharing her new insights and industry knowledge with our students, many of whom are keen to pursue further opportunities in dance beyond school.
VET Spotlight:
Certificate II in Engineering Pathways
It is always rewarding to see first-year engineering students in action as they begin developing their practical skills and confidence in the workshop.
Watching students engage with tools, machinery, and real engineering tasks highlights the value of hands-on learning and the enthusiasm they bring to the program. Their willingness to learn, problem-solve, and support each other reflects the strong foundation being built for future apprenticeships, further study, and careers in the engineering industry. Moments like these showcase not only technical growth but also teamwork, safety awareness, and pride in their work.
Congratulations to Brodie Tanner (Year 11) who has secured a School-Based Traineeship with Reece Plumbing:
Congratulations to 2024 Alumni Lucas Wright, who has secured a full-time position at Reece Plumbing in Cannington. In years 11 and 12, Lucas completed a School-Based Traineeship in Supply Chain Operations.
Well done!
