This fortnight has been filled with a range of occasions and events across our College community, each reflecting the Light of Excellence in learning, belonging, and student engagement.

Our College School Advisory Council (CSAC) and Parent Voice (PV) groups continue to play an invaluable role in contributing to the future direction of the College. At Wednesday’s Annual Community Meeting (ACM), we reflected on 2025—another year defined by our commitment to nurturing positive relationships, supporting students to make positive behaviour choices and delivering high‑quality teaching and learning across the College. We also acknowledged the continued growth in enrolment numbers and the progress of our Science Block refurbishment project - due to be completed at the end of this semester - both of which reinforce our reputation as a school of choice in the area

At the ACM we extended our gratitude to the PV Chair, Catherine Schaefer, and PV Treasurer, Rebecca Boardman, both of whom have stepped down from their positions. Their commitment, passion, and contribution to our community over recent years is deeply appreciated.

At the ACM, we also accepted nominations for PV leadership positions for 2026. We are pleased to welcome Ravani Duggan, as the new PV Chair, and Phil Davey as the new PV Treasurer. We thank them for stepping forward to serve our community and look forward to the leadership and insight they bring to this important group.

As we approach the middle of the term, our Year 7 students continue to settle into secondary school life with confidence and enthusiasm. Monday’s Year 7 Activity Day was a great success, offering students the chance to build new friendships, strengthen existing connections, and continue to develop a strong sense of belonging within our community. The day provided opportunities for teamwork, collaboration, and fun as students continue to find their place within the College.

This week, we also celebrated our annual Interhouse Swimming Carnival, a highlight of the College calendar. It was great to see students stepping outside their comfort zones, representing their Houses with spirit, and supporting one another throughout the day. We congratulate all participants on their efforts and acknowledge the winners for their achievements, especially Salvado House who were named Champion House.

Finally, with the term well underway, and as students from all year groups settle into their learning programs for 2026, it is important that they continue to build resilience, motivation, and strong routines at both school and home. When these are in place, students are best positioned to strive for, and achieve, their personal best.
