Student Leaders Participate in Child Safe Training

This week our Student Leaders and SRC representatives took part in Child Safe training. The session focused on helping students understand their rights, recognise safe and unsafe situations, and know how to seek help if something doesn’t feel right.

At our school, we are committed to creating an environment where children and young people feel safe, respected and heard. A key part of this is empowering students with the knowledge and confidence to speak up about their wellbeing and the wellbeing of others.

During the training, students explored the importance of their rights, how they can participate in decisions that affect them, and why their voices matter in all child safety matters. Our student leaders play an important role in modelling these values and helping ensure that all students feel supported and safe at school.

By providing this training, we are reinforcing that student voice is valued and that every child has the right to be taken seriously when it comes to their safety and wellbeing.

A link to the training slideshow is included below for families who would like to learn more about what was discussed.
