Students from Year 7 to 11 applied to be part of the 2025 ‘Nailed it’ cooking competition. Eighteen students (9 pairs) were selected out of 90 who applied. Selection was based on the answers provided in the application form.

The competition involved students being given the same three photos of decorated cupcakes, then in pairs attempting to replicate all three under strict time constraints. Students used their baking and decorating skills, along with their initiative and creativity to get the cakes completed. Students had 90 minutes to bake, decorate and to reveal their creations to the judges and other contestants.

The winning students both received a small prize. A big thank you to Sue Holderness (Arts Domain Leader) and Caroline Gill (Design Domain Leader) for facing the difficult decision of choosing the winner and place getters of ‘Nailed It 2025’.
