SRC PYJAMA DAY
The SRC are hosting a Pyjama Day on Thursday August 7th where students are invited to wear their pyjamas to school and make a gold coin donation to The Pyjama Foundation.
Pyjama Day is all about wearing your favourite pair of PJs to help The Pyjama Foundation raise much-needed awareness and funds for children in foster care.
These vulnerable children often experience a world different to our own, a world full of change and uncertainty. The money raised from our Pyjama Day will go towards helping offer learning skills to more than 800 children in foster care, fund educational resources and help provide stable, positive relationships.
LITERACY OPEN MORNING
Please join us on Friday 8th of August for our Literacy Open Morning.
We will begin in the hall at 9am with a brief overview of literacy teaching and learning at CPS. After this, we will move into classrooms where you can participate alongside students in their fluency reading routines. Students will then have the opportunity to share some of their work from Semester One before the session concludes at 10:00am.
We look forward to seeing you there.
FOOD DRIVE WRAP UP
A big thank you to all the students and families who donated to our food drive last term for the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC). The ASRC was delighted by the generosity of the CPS community when they collected the donations. Thanks to your support, the ASRC Foodbank can continue to help over 1,200 people every month, including lots of children, with healthy, culturally appropriate food. Every item donated makes a real difference. We’re so proud of our caring school community.
