PFA Update-Pyjama Disco Wrap Up

CPS Pyjama Disco – A Magical Evening of Fun, Coziness and Community!

We’re excited to share that last term’s Pyjama Disco Party was a huge success! With over 460 students attending across both sessions, the school hall came alive with music, colour, and joy — all in their cosiest pyjamas!

The fun started from the moment students walked the red carpet at our show-stopping photo wall, allowing parents to take photos upon arrival. Memories were also captured at the ever-popular photo booth, giving the kids to take home a printed photo. A special shoutout to the amazing Emily, who captured gorgeous photos of the kids throughout both sessions.

We were thrilled to be able to host this year's disco inside our very own school hall.  Inside the hall was packed with heaps of activities — the beloved tattoo station was buzzing with excitement, while the colouring corner provided a calming space for kids to recharge.

The DJ kept the dance floor bouncing with student-selected music and high-energy games. Ten lucky raffle winners per session took home a bunch of treats and surprises. Thank you to everyone who purchased additional raffle tickets to boost our fundraising efforts. 

For our hungry dancers, fresh fruit was generously provided by Carnegie Fresh and Woolworths Metro. And to end on a sweet note, each child received a cookie from AM Bakehouse and a milk to take home, thanks to the generosity of Woodards Real Estate.

We want to give a huge round of applause to our amazing Grade 6 buddies, who helped guide and support our Preppies during their very first disco! Your kindness, energy, and support made a huge difference — thank you (and thank you to their parents too)!

A heartfelt thank you to our 60+ parent volunteers, whose energy, time, and care made the event run safely and smoothly. A special mention to our security team, who kept everything in check (and cozy!) in their uniformed Oodies. Or course the biggest shout out must go to our Disco Queen Monica Espinosa (mum to Patrick & Matilda) who organised the hugely successful event for the second year running. 

Finally, we are deeply grateful to our local business supporters for helping make this magical night possible: Domino’s Carnegie, Officeworks, Lizzy’s Chocolates, Woodards, Woolworths, Carnegie Fresh, and Hot Bird.

We’re also thrilled to share that thanks to everyone’s support, this year’s disco raised an incredible $2,780 — a fantastic increase from last year!

The 2025 CPS Disco was a beautiful reminder that when our community comes together, we can create truly magical moments for our children. Thank you all for being part of it!
