Celebrating Student Effort and Achievement over the School Holiday Period
It has been terrific to connect with students, families, and staff both formally and informally this week, and to welcome back all members of our school community at the start of Term 4.
My favourite aspect of the start of any given academic term is the privilege of engaging the community and hearing stories and reflections about how people chose to spend their time during the school holiday period.
I certainly hope that all members of our school community had a safe, relaxing, and enjoyable break.
We have had a most positive start to Term 4, and our staff team are looking forward to another action packed term of quality learning experiences and celebratory opportunities for our students.
I personally had the pleasure of supporting a number of our students (and staff), as they pursued their personal bests at significant representative school events during the school holidays.
We had sixteen students represent our school at the Combined Independent Schools (CIS) NSW Secondary State Athletics Championships at Sydney Olympic Park on Tuesday 23 September.
Two secondary students represented Moama Anglican Grammar and Victoria from 28 September to 1 October at the 2026 Australian Interschool Equestrian Championships in Werribee, and eight students represented our school at the Victorian All Schools Track and Field Championships in Melbourne.
I acknowledge and congratulate each participating student for their outstanding achievements to qualify for, and participate in, these state level events, in addition to celebrating the way that they conducted themselves during their respective competitions.
It has also been fantastic to see a large number of HSC students, supported by our dedicated staff, come into the school during the holiday period, and throughout the course of this week, to continue preparations and revision to support them to achieve their personal bests in their examinations.
On behalf of our school community, I wish our Year 12 students the best of luck as they commence their examination period on Tuesday 13 October.
