Year 12 Outdoor Education

Semester 2 Expedition

The Year 12 Outdoor Education classes had their final expedition in Week 6. The group started north of Monadnocks and spent two days hiking south, climbing Mount Cuthbert and Mount Vincent on Day 1 and then climbing Mount Cooke, the highest peak in the Darling Range, on Day 2.

The group was completely self sufficient for the two days, carrying their tents, food and clothing for the hike. The group spent the night at Mount Cooke campsite where they demonstrated the skills they had learnt over four years of Outdoor Education at Mazenod.

Thank you to the class teachers Mr Websdale and Mr Truss assisted by Mr Wallis and Mr Donaldson and Old Boy Matt Schultz, who acted as our support driver.
