What’s Happening in Careers?
Year 10
There was no MyPath lesson for the Year 10s this week as they all enjoyed a long weekend.
Year 11
UniReady 2026
Applications are closed for the Curtin UniReady course. Students will be advised by email if they have been successful. There is a UniReady Parent Information Night on 2 September, 5-6 pm in the Library, and it will cover the Curtin UniReady program, Notre Dame’s UniPath program and Certificate IV options for students in 2026.
Students will select UniReady as one of their six subjects in 2026. They will also need to enrol in a Certificate IV, which they complete on Fridays. Students who are not enrolled in the UniReady program can still enrol in Certificate IV. Queries regarding these qualifications should be directed to Mrs Johnson.
Year 12
The careers team have been actively meeting with Year 12 students to discuss pathways, scholarships and interview preparation. If your son needs any assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out.
This term, students have had presentations on interview and resume preparation and have applied real-world financial management skills in the ‘EssiMoney’ competition.
We have had our final MyPath session with the 12s this week with a presentation from Year 13 students now studying at university or working in apprenticeships. They shared valuable insights on life after Mazenod and how to navigate the transition. We always love hearing from our MOBA and hope that our current Year 12s will return to share their experiences in the future.
A big thanks to Will Ross (Electrical Apprenticeship), Nick Pages (Heavy Diesel Apprenticeship), and Oscar Uetake (Paramedicine at Curtin University). It was fantastic to see them thriving in their chosen paths and offering advice to the class of 2025.
