Earth Afternoon at Malvern Primary School

On Tuesday 1 September, Malvern Primary School participated in Earth Afternoon, joining together as a school community to consider the importance of energy conservation and caring for our environment.

Throughout the afternoon, classes participated in Earth Afternoon in a variety of ways. Some students engaged in sustainability-focused activities and discussions, while others switched off unnecessary lights, interactive whiteboards, laptops and heating and cooling systems before continuing with their regular learning program.

The afternoon provided a valuable opportunity for students to reflect on how simple actions, such as reducing our energy use, can contribute to a more sustainable future. It was wonderful to see our students and staff supporting this initiative and demonstrating that small changes can make a meaningful difference.

Thank you to our whole school community for getting involved in Earth Afternoon 2026 and helping Malvern Primary School continue to work towards a more sustainable future.
