Malvern Primary School Art Show

At our 2024 Spring Fair we held our inaugural Malvern Primary School Art Show, in order to celebrate the amazing creativity of our students.

We will be holding our Malvern Primary School Art Show again at this year's  Spring Fair, in the Rec Centre.

Families are invited to come in and view student Art work from across the year.  

Reminder about Safe Travel to and from School.

Parents will have heard reports in social media over the last few weeks of incidents relating to the safety of our children in the local area.  

It is important that we remain aware of the reports and take action to increase the safety of our children. The following points may be useful to consider when speaking with your children and planning their walk to and from school:

• Always travel directly to and from school and avoid making stops or side trips along the way. If your child is catching public transport, encourage them to walk directly to the bus/tram stop or train station.
• Where possible travel in pairs or groups. You may want to arrange for your child to meet friends and walk to and from school together.
• If children are walking to school without an adult, encourage them to remain alert to their surroundings and try to avoid using their phone while walking.
• If your child is being picked up, remind them to remain on school grounds until you arrive. 
• If there is anything that makes your child feel uncomfortable in any way, they should leave the area and report any concerns to an adult or phone the police.
• Students are not to arrive at school before the yard duty teacher comes on duty (8.45am), unless a parent or carer is supervising them. 

Parents are reminded that Their Care provides care in the morning from 7.15am and until 6pm in the afternoon.  We encourage parents to use this program rather than dropping their children off early at school in an unsupervised playground.  Malvern Primary School grounds are a public park before 8.30am and is popular with the local community.

We understand that as the weather warms up the children like to play in the yard in the morning, but this is not safe without an adult supervising. 

Teachers have also been having discussions with the children in an age-appropriate way as part of the regular personal safety discussions. Please contact your child's teacher if you have any questions.
