Child Safe & Wellbeing
Safety, Respect and Learning
On Wednesday night we welcomed a number of parents to our first School Advisory Council meeting for 2026. The focus was on the Code of Conduct and our Whole School Approach to Positive Behaviour Support. One of the questions that came out of our discussion was 'What are the communication pathways between home and school?'
We want to work together with families to support every child. Most concerns can be solved quickly when we talk with the right person first.
You can expect to receive a response from the class teacher within 48 hours.

Make contact with your child’s Classroom Teacher first
Your child’s teacher knows your child’s learning and daily experiences. They are the best people to help with most questions or concerns.
⬇️ If the concern is not resolved, move to step 2.
Speak with a Deputy Principal or School Leader
The leadership team can help review the concern and work together with you and the teacher.
⬇️ If the concern is still not resolved, move to step 3.
Principal Support (Final Step)
The Principal will review the concern and help decide the next steps.
If you have any further questions around commnication please email me at jgulavin@cranbourneeast.catholic.edu.au
Kindest regards,
Jen Gulavin - Deputy Principal (Inclusive Education)
