IDAHOBIT Day celebration

On the 20th of May PLSC celebrated the International day against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia (IDAHOBIT).  We honoured the day with bracelet making, colouring in and rainbow snacks. This was a great opportunity for our students and staff to get together to ask questions and show their allyship. Thank you to all who came down to show their support.

Year 10’s lets talk respect program

This term we have been part of a pilot program called “Lets talk respect” run by Whittlesea Council and DPV health. Over the course of six weeks our year 10 male students have been meeting with Brent and Liz to unpack all things masculinity, respect and relationships.

In tandem with this, we have also been running a girls group, focusing on subjects such as consent and healthy relationships.

This has been a great time for students to get to know each other better, ask some big questions and grow in their understanding. To celebrate our final session we had a cute brunch and reflected on the things we will take away from the group. Big shout out to Lucy from DPV and Lauren our Secondary School Nurse for being our guest speakers.

Wellbeing during the school holidays
