Middle School News

Year 7 to Year 9

End of Term Wrap-Up

As we reach the end of Term 2 and look ahead to a well-deserved July school holiday break, I would like to take a moment to sincerely thank all our students and families for your continued support throughout the term.

It has been a privilege to serve in the role of Acting Head of Middle School, and I am truly grateful for the encouragement, understanding, and partnership shown by our College community during this time. Next term we welcome Mr Brendan McGrath back into the role.

The last two weeks have been particularly busy for our Year 9 students, and I commend them for the way they have engaged in the opportunities provided. Our students gained hands-on insight into future pathways through the Construction and Trade Program at South Metro TAFE and also explored a wide range of industries and careers at the Careers Expo. These experiences are so valuable in helping students begin to consider their strengths and aspirations beyond school.

To top it off, our Year 9s studying Outdoor Education enjoyed a great day out at Golden Ponds, where many managed to catch a fish or two — a relaxing and rewarding end to a very full term of angling.

A special thank you also goes to those students who have been consistently working towards their Christian Service hours. Your efforts in volunteering and giving back to the community are deeply appreciated and reflect the values we hold dear at the College.

Wishing all families a safe, restful, and enjoyable break. We look forward to seeing everyone refreshed and ready for a great start to Term 3.

Warm regards,

Mrs Christy Thomas

Acting Head of Middle School (Year 7 to Year 9)
