A big congratulations to our runners who participated in the GD cross-country last Monday, 14 May, on a wet track and with the typical sandy banks and hills of Casterton. The College runners tried their absolute hardest and earned a respectable second place overall.

The sun came out, providing a great environment for running and many students placed in the top 5.  It was a very successful day for both personal goals and College achievements.

A big thank you to Mrs Joyce for supporting the runners, and to the College students for the positive energy they always bring to our sporting events.

ICCES Cross Country is on 28 July.

There were some strong individual results across the day, including first places to Manaia Bremner in the 1500m, Teddy Dabernig in discus, Louis Lazzari in javelin, Brennan McDonald in high jump, Grace O’Sullivan in long jump and Ed Whinney in javelin.

Thank you to Mrs Joyce for organising and supporting the team, and to Gappers Bella and Eddie for their help throughout the day.

Well done to everyone who competed.
