Principal's Report

It has been a busy and exciting couple of weeks across our College community, with student leadership speeches, athletics day and of course our magical carpet ride with the talented cast of Aladdin.

At Brigidine Campus, we are also preparing to embark on a series of building refurbishments. These upgrades will include refurbished student toilets (separate boys and girls), updated office spaces, improved meeting areas, and more – all part of our commitment to providing welcoming and functional spaces for our students and staff.

Over the coming weeks, Learning Mentor teachers will be making contact with families. These phone calls are an important part of our ongoing commitment to knowing and valuing every student. Conversations may be a simple update, or they may focus on events, opportunities or areas of support. If you haven’t received a call by the end of term, please don’t hesitate to reach out directly to your child’s Learning Mentor.

In the past 18 months, much work has also been dedicated to reviewing our uniform, with particular focus on the College polo. From next year, our new Year 7 students will be the first to wear the updated polo, which will feature the same College colours, an improved fabric, and a beautiful Indigenous design incorporated into the side paneling. The quality of our student trousers will also be improved.

I would like to thank the uniform committee and the students who trialled various items throughout this process. Their feedback and involvement has been invaluable in shaping the final decisions.

Our first College Conference is being held on Thursday and Friday, with national and international speakers all onsite ready to be keynote speakers, facilitate sessions, share data and oversee interesting and contemporary workshops. This is a remarkable event that we have created for our staff and that will add to the fabric of our College.

God Bless.
