Celebrating Strong NAPLAN Growth

We are pleased to share some very positive news from our recent NAPLAN results. Over the past three years, our Year 9 data has shown steady and consistent improvement, reflecting the hard work of our students and teachers.

In particular, over the past two years we have seen a clear increase in the percentage of students achieving in the 'Exceeding' category for both Numeracy and Writing. At the same time, the percentage of students in the 'Needs Additional Support' category has decreased in all area, highlighting the success of our targeted intervention programs and classroom support.

These results show that our ongoing focus on quality teaching, personalised learning and early intervention is making a real difference. Most importantly, it demonstrates that our students are being challenged to extend themselves while also receiving the support they need to thrive.

We are proud of the progress being made and remain committed to continuing this positive trajectory in the years ahead.

Attention – all students who are starting a VET course for the first time in 2026.

Any students enrolling in a VET course must have a Unique Student Identifier (USI). This number is applied for by the student and then shared with St Joseph’s College, so we can enrol you in VET for 2026.

Instructions for obtaining a USI are here.

Once you have obtained your USI, please fill in this google form to submit the USI to the school and agree to the VET conditions.

We cannot enrol students in VET without a valid USI number.
