It is hard to believe that we are almost halfway through the year. For our Year 12 students, the halfway mark was crossed a few weeks back, as they are now in Unit 4 of their studies. While many students have a break, perhaps travel or relax at home, our Year 12 students will continue to study to ensure that they achieve the results they hope for.

Last week our Year 8 to 11 students completed end of semester tests and exams.  They understand the stress and anxiety that can occur at these times.  So, we keep our Year 12 students in our prayers as they have a break but continue to work hard before starting the last term of learning in secondary school.

It has been wonderful being back in the school community, even on shortened days.  I enjoy speaking with the students and catching up with the staff.  It is somewhat harder on a knee scooter, but I am becoming more proficient as the days progress.

Year 11 students have spent this week in Melbourne on camp.  Well done to Mr Kris Mannix for his organisation of the camp.  The students were able to experience the State of Origin match at the MCG on Wednesday evening, which would have been a new experience for most students.

At the moment as we shiver through the cold, stay warm in our heated homes and eat a warm meal, we consider those less fortunate.  Our staff and students are currently donating food and other essential items for St Vinnies.  All items donated will be presented at our Hearts and Hands mass on Wednesday 24 June.  It is not too late to donate, and any items can be dropped off at the front office.

The end of the term is Thursday 25 June.  The school day will end at the usual time of 3:15pm.  Friday is a student free day.

Have a restful break from school routines and if you are travelling these holidays, stay safe.
