District Athletics

Imagine standing at the starting line, our hearts were pounding. We looked down the track, we heard the starter gun go off, and we just ran as fast, jumped as high and threw as far as we could.

Last Monday was District Athletics Day. But this day wasn't just about winning medals or being the absolute best, it was about all of us coming together as a school. Whether we were competing in an event, helping out on the field, or screaming our lungs out from the grandstands everyone was a huge part of the team. We made sure our school was the loudest, proudest, and most supportive one there. We cheered for our friends, high-fived the other schools, and just gave it our best shot. Well done to all the students who participated and to all the people who qualified. We went out there and had an awesome day, but this was only possible because of the parents who volunteered to help and teachers who used their time to train us.

ISS District Basketball Gala Day

What a great day we all had on Wednesday 2nd September. The Boys’ team played amazing basketball and narrowly missed out on progressing further by one game. The Girl’s team won each and every game and showed incredible tenacity and have made it through to the Division Championships. A BIG thank you to Sarah Congdon for Coaching, Amy Owens for scoring and Jason (Harvey’s grandfather) for grabbing ice packs and scoring as well. Good luck to the All-Star Girls!
