Warning about easily accessible online game
I urge all families to check all devices and monitor your child’s screen time to ensure they are not playing a new game called Bitlife Free
It represents itself as a Life simulator game so is very attractive to children. It is highly problematic and students have easy browser access. It does not have any parental controls built in. It can be accessed via any browser so a browser search will be required as an APP is not required.
It exposes children to mature content including crime and violence (players can commit virtual crimes—including grand theft auto, pickpocketing, and murder—and explore mafia or gang pathways). It contains sexual content and features text prompts and audio cues regarding one-night stands, promiscuity, and explicit relationships. It also references substance abuse with virtual scenarios frequently involve illegal drugs, addiction, and reckless behaviours. It normalises risky behaviour and obviously is highly addictive.
We have alerted the Dept to this and have requested access to be blocked.

Dogs onsite
A friendly reminder that dogs are not permitted on our school grounds. Registered assistance or therapy dogs are the exception. We have many students who are frightened or become anxious around dogs. While your dog may be well behaved and controlled in your care they can become overwhelmed by the noise and the number of students in the school setting. Whilst many of us are dog lovers and they are often our best friends we ask that you consider that this is not always the case for children. Thank you for your support in not bringing your dog into the school grounds.
Year 5/6 Production - Wizard of Oz – Unsold tickets are open for sale
We are delighted to announce that there are still a small number of tickets available for 'Wizard of Oz' The performance will be on Thursday 13th August at Eltham High School and will commence at 7:00pm with doors opening at 6.3pm. No children may attend without an adult supervising them. Staff will not be available to supervise students in the audience. There is no set seating. There will be general admission on the night.
Tickets are $23 per seat. It is a standard venue convention that children over 12 months old must have a ticket/seat. No refunds are possible. Tickets must be presented at the door. Please note that a TryBooking charge of 50 cents per ticket will apply at checkout. We look forward to an exciting night!

Congratulations to Tara Neyland
Congratulations to our ex-student Tara Neyland who won Gold in the Glascow VIS supported games. Tara rewrote the record books once again, breaking her own world record in the women’s C4 1km time trial before going on to win gold. It capped off an extraordinary Glasgow 2026 campaign, after she had already lowered the world record earlier in the Games in the women’s C4-C5 4000m individual pursuit.
Family or Friend collecting students from school
On the occasion where you need the support of a family member or friend to collect your child from school during the day, we ask that you please email the office ( not your child’s teacher please) to notify us about this. Please include the name of the person who you are authorising to collect your child. We are unable to allow anyone who is not registered as an emergency contact to collect your child without your shared consent. Even if your child knows the person and joyfully jumps into their arms, we have a duty of care to keep all children safe and allowing them to leave with anyone but the emergency contact on Compass is unsafe. If you can’t email please call the office to support us to keep your child safe.
