Dear Netball Families

What an incredible round of netball on Saturday for Round 9! Across the Club, our teams recorded an outstanding 22 wins from 30 matches from Year 4 to Alumni, showcasing the hard work, determination and teamwork that have been building all season.

A special congratulations goes to Year 2 Green, who celebrated their first NETSETGO win. This is a fantastic achievement and a reward for their enthusiasm, effort and persistence.

Results:

Primary School: 6/6 wins!
Secondary School: 13 wins, 1 forfeit win, 7 losses
Alumni: 2 wins, 1 loss

Overall: 22 wins from 30 matches

With five rounds remaining, we encourage all players to keep their heads held high, continue supporting one another, and focus on giving their best effort every time they step onto the court. Every game is an opportunity to learn, improve and enjoy being part of a team.

Well done to all our players, coaches, managers and families for another wonderful weekend of netball.

Reminders from PNA

As we are heading into the second half of the season, PNA kindly ask Clubs to please share the below information with all relevant members of the Club.

Uniform breaches

PNA have received complaints regarding teams’ uniform breaches. Please be reminded all players in teams MUST be wearing the clubs registered uniform.
Clubs will be fined $20 for any uniform breaches.

Complaints

A reminder to all Clubs regarding the complaints process. Game management issues, need to be handled initially by the umpires. If further support is required during a match, a complaints card can be presented at the match office and must be provided by the Club Coordinator before approaching the office.
All complaints will be submitted via the online complaints form by the Club Coordinator.

Photography/Videography

For any teams wanting to take photos during a game, a team representative is requested to seek permission from the opposition for photo permission.

Scorecards

Please ensure scorecards are correctly completed, including player positions for all four quarters.
Scorecards must be returned to the Match Office straight after the conclusion of the game.
Clubs will be fined $20 for failure to complete any aspect of the scorecard.

Rolling Subs

Both substitution boxes are located on the western side of the courts.
Teams are allocated their substitution boxes prior to the start of the game, it is one substitution box per team, they cannot be shared by teams throughout the game.
Teams do not change substitution boxes at each quarter; they use the same box throughout the full duration of the game.
If an athlete utilises the opponent’s substitution, an umpire may impose a penalty/turnover.

NSG Coach Positioning

One coach per NSG team is permitted to walk along the sidelines while coaching; however, coaches must not obstruct the line of the umpire.
Coaches are not permitted to stand or walk along the baseline

Year 5- Open Coaches and Spectator Positioning

All coaches, athletes and spectators MUST always be behind the yellow line markings and cannot stand on the baseline of the courts.

Finals Eligibility

Please be reminded that athletes must have played 7 games on separate dates to qualify for finals for their Club.

Respect

PNA requires all members and visitors to the venue to adhere to the conditions of entry and code of conduct.
Disrespect by players, coaches, umpires, managers, or spectators is not tolerated and can result in a club/team penalty.
Clubs are responsible for ensuring their members are aware of the PNA policies. The PNA policies are outlined in the Competition Handbook and can be found HERE.

Looking Ahead

As we enter the final six rounds of the season, please keep the following key dates in mind:

Secondary Finals Series (Years 7–12): Commences Saturday, 5 September for qualifying teams.
Year 6: Compete in a preliminary final and grand final format only.
Years 2–5: No finals competition.

End-of-Season Events

Secondary Netball Presentation Evening: Monday, 31 August
Primary Netball Wind-Up: Wednesday, 2 September
