Sorrento Writers Festival
We were fortunate to be a part of the Sorrento Writers Festival Schools Program. A dozen authors and illustrators inspired our students by sharing their stories and journey from ideas to being published.
ANZAC Day
Thank you to the many students and families who joined us on ANZAC Day for the march and ceremony.
Chook Lotto
Our chickens: Layla, Jeff, KFC, Snowy, Otto and Coco are laying an egg a day so we have plenty for our Chook - lotto each fortnight. You can buy a ticket from Lucy for just $2.
Crazy Hair Day
Thank you for your generosity. A total of $102.10 was collected for Canteen who provide support for young people suffering with cancer.
Building Project Update
Thank you for your patience and flexibility with the building project and valet. All the plastered walls are in place with the student amenities being fitted out. Stage One is on track to be completed by the end of the term. Tom McKintosh, the state MP for the Eastern Region, dropped by last week to check out progress.
Mother's Day Stall
Students will have an opportunity to purchase gifts from the Mother's Day Stall, this coming Thursday 7th May. The goods are priced between $1and $10.
Mother's and Special Friend's Breakfast
We warmly invite all mothers and special friends to attend a breakfast between 8:00 - 9:00am this coming Friday 8th May. We will need to have the school gates closed for child safety so could families please park in surrounding streets and walk. Please check parking signs.
School Photos
School photos will be taken Wednesday week on 13th May. Could all students please be in their full Winter School Uniform. An iForma notice was sent last week with ordering details.
Dental Van
The Dental Van will be at school the first week of June. Please register online using the QR code sent home on the consent form by the end of May which is also attached below.
Parish Partnership
The partnership with Rosebud and Dromana parishes is continuing and has been named Our Lady’s Southern Peninsula Mission. We are still a part of St Mary’s Star of the Sea Parish Sorrento
Intergenerational Project at Rye Sands
The Year Four students began their Intergenerational Project with residents from Rye Sands last Thursday. It was a rewarding experience for both young and old and we look forward to watching the mosaic pavers being produced for Rye Sand's Wellness Garden.
