From the Assistant Principal: Learning & Innovation

STEM at Loreto

Many of our students have greatly enjoyed the introduction of STEM Club at Loreto College this year, thanks to the initiative of Mr Ryan Ringin (Technology Faculty Leader).  Recently, Ryan has been successful in securing a significant grant which will be well utilised next year in our STEM program.  In 2027, we will see the introduction of STEM into the Year 7 curriculum and the introduction of a Year 9 STEM elective.  We are very grateful for all the work Ryan is doing in leading this new venture, where he has been been working closely with Ms Sarah McKnight (Science Faculty Leader) and Ms Shivali Bansil (Mathematics Faculty Leader). We look forward to seeing this innovation come to life next year.

VCAA examinations

VCAA exams commence on Tuesday 27 October, and continue over the following three weeks. We wish our senior students all the best as they navigate their final exams. We are very proud of all that our students have achieved this year and the way in which they approached their recent practice exams (in the Term 3 holidays) and also their revision classes. Students are encouraged to reach out if they need further support from their teachers, and coordinators, who have guided them throughout the year.
