Free Health and Wellbeing Support for Children and Families
Sometimes children need a little extra support — and that’s okay!
Did you know that families can access free health and wellbeing support through the Children’s Health and Wellbeing Local.
The service is available for children and young people, as well as their parents and carers. It provides a safe and welcoming place for families to seek advice, support and information about a range of concerns, including:
- Emotional wellbeing and mental health
- Friendships and relationships
- Managing emotions and developing resilience
- Family and parenting support
- Social and emotional development
- Worries, anxiety or changes in behaviour
- Other challenges that may be affecting a child or young person
The great news is that you don’t need a referral or a diagnosis to access the service. Families can contact their local Children’s Health and Wellbeing Local directly and talk with a professional about what support might be helpful.
As a school community, we know that asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness. Getting support early can help children and families feel more confident, connected and equipped to manage challenges.
If you think your child or family could benefit from some extra support, we encourage you to find out more about this free and accessible service.
Remember: You don’t have to wait until things become overwhelming before reaching out for help.
