Golf Incursion

On Wednesday the 26th of August we had a golf incursion. It was lots of fun to play and learn golf. 

Our coach, Tony, taught us how to hold a golf club and how to hit a golf ball. We were then split into groups of 3. I was with Ash and Charlie. We were given 30 golf balls to hit on the high school basketball court.  After we hit all the balls, we were told to collect 30 more balls and after that, we started packing up and two students were selected to go to the next level. 

The 2 students were Ned and Caleb R. Both these students were very good at golf. Caleb R hit over the fence. 

We are looking forward to our next session on Wednesday which is our last one. 

In our next session I hope I hit the golf ball over the fence.

Book Parade

On Wednesday 26th of August we had our Book Week Parade. This year I came dressed as Alvin from Alvin and the Chipmunks and for some reason there were a lot of Spider Mans. 

We started the day with the Book Week Parade in the gym. All year levels went there to show off their amazing costumes. The kinder kids also came. In my opinion my favourite costume was Red Fish Blue Fish by two of the grade six students. 

All week we did book week activities, even in art where we picked a book and had to copy the front cover on a piece of paper. It was really stressful because we had to rush and we didn't know if we were going to finish them in time. 

Mrs Rush came dressed up as a penguin. Overall, it was great to see everyone dressed up and we are all proud of the people that got up on stage. Next year I was thinking of being Angus Young but I’m still not too sure. I’m super excited to see what everyone dresses up as next year.
