Lego Robots

Our seniors have continued working on their Lego Robot creations which have involved a mix of building and coding. Students have created grabber claws and hopper bots, and worked on intentionally "half-finished" projects that they needed to fix.

Our Year 4s raced their "hoppers"... and some of them even managed to get in the right direction. We'll keep working on that next lesson.

Students in Year 5 and 6 will have the option of taking part in the Lego League Challenge in Ballarat later in the year. This will involve working in groups to solve problems, build and modify a Lego robot, and create a presentation around their designs. See the video below for more information on the challenge.

Scratch and Scratch Jr

Our juniors have continued working on coding animations and games using Scratch on the laptops and ScratchJr on the iPads. If you'd like to work on things at home, you can download the ScratchJr app on a tablet or the Scratch program on a laptop.
