Academies & Sport

As we head into the final stretch of Term 3, our students continue to shine both on and off the field in various interschool sports competitions. From futsal victories to table tennis achievements, there’s been no shortage of impressive performances this term. Here's a roundup of the exciting sports news and updates for our school community.

Our Senior Girls Futsal team has been on fire this term, clinching a well-deserved victory in the interschool competition. Their teamwork, skill, and determination paid off as they dominated the games, bringing home the win. Congratulations to the girls for their outstanding performance!

In Table Tennis, our Senior Boys team made waves by winning their competition and progressing to the regional level. Although they faced tough competition at the regionals and were eliminated, their effort and commitment were truly commendable. A big shoutout to our boys for their hard work throughout the season!

Looking ahead, there’s still plenty of action to come! Our Intermediate Basketball teams will soon be heading out for their matches, and the Year 8 and Year 7 sports teams are gearing up for their own competitions. We are excited to see what these young athletes will bring to the field and court in the coming weeks.

Athletics Carnival – Thursday 12th September

The entire school is looking forward to the annual Athletics Carnival on Thursday 12th September! This exciting event brings together students from across all year levels to compete in a variety of track and field events. We encourage all students to give their best and show their school spirit as we cheer on our athletes. It’s a day of fun, fitness, and fierce competition – don’t forget to bring your consent forms in ON TIME to secure your spot!

Rugby Update:

The U16 Girls Rebels Shield team has had an exciting start to their season. After a nail-biting 3-point loss to Fountain Gate, they came back strong with a solid victory against Sunshine. They still have games ahead against Narre Warren P12 and The Grange College. We’re hopeful that the team will continue to grow, learn, and deliver more wins as the season progresses.

In Rugby League, our U14 Boys and U16 Girls and Boys teams are preparing for the upcoming Cam Muster and Cam Smith Shields at Casey Warriors Fields on 28th August. These teams have been training hard and are ready to compete for a chance to make it to the state finals at Seabrook Reserve on 16th September. We’re confident they will give it their all in the pursuit of victory!
