End of Year Wrap-Up
Dear Wyndham College Community,
As the year draws to a close, I’d like to extend my heartfelt congratulations to our Year 11 students on completing the Preliminary Course. Your hard work has laid a solid foundation, and it’s been rewarding to see the commitment you've shown as you step confidently into Year 12. This is an exciting time, filled with opportunities to set goals and make plans for the year ahead.
A big highlight recently was our Life Ready Day, where students took part in practical workshops that will serve them well beyond school. From learning to change a tyre and understanding financial management basics to exploring healthy relationships and consent, students engaged positively and gained valuable life skills. It was wonderful to see everyone participating enthusiastically and demonstrating how prepared they are to take on adult responsibilities.
To make the most of this final year, I encourage each of you to get organised early. Setting up a study timetable can be incredibly helpful – it allows you to plan for balance, ensuring you have time not just for studies but also for breaks, sport, or other wellbeing activities that help keep you refreshed and focused. Remember, a well-rounded approach is key to your success.
I am also thrilled to be working alongside our enthusiastic new School Captains and Vice Captains. They have already brought such positive energy and creative ideas to our meetings, and I know they will continue to make a lasting impact. We look forward to a fantastic year together, with initiatives that will make Wyndham College an even better place for everyone.
As we head into the holiday season, I’d like to wish you all a joyful break filled with fun, relaxation, and time with loved ones. May the Christmas festivities bring you happiness and a chance to recharge.
Just a reminder that Year 12 students will return on Thursday, 6th February 2025 to a Week B timetable.
Have a wonderful holiday and see you in the New Year.
