Teaching and Learning Update

National Simultaneous Storytime
On Wednesday students in all year levels participated in the National Simultaneous Storytime.
Each year schools across the country are encouraged to read the same story at the same time. This year’s story is ’Luna Roo’.
Many students tuned in to the live event, where the authors of 'Luna Roo' read the story aloud. Students loved being part of this shared national experience and were especially excited to practise their drawing skills by following along with the illustrator, creating their own versions of the characters.
National Simultaneous Storytime is more than just a shared reading experience—it highlights the importance of literacy and fosters a love of books from an early age. Reading together helps build language skills, imagination, and confidence.
We’re already looking forward to next year’s National Simultaneous Storytime!
