Kids Corner

The “Kids’ Corner” section of our school newsletter provides the opportunity for the children to showcase their talents or communicate something special.

The Kids Corner section of this fortnight’s newsletter features narratives written by Luna and Pranshi (both in Year 2), and an ANZAC Day Poem by Klarissa (Year 5), who are working hard to improve their understanding of the written text. I trust you enjoy them just as much as I have!

The Ride by Pranshi

Once upon a time there was a little house. Inside the house was a girl, a boy and a Lego pig.

One day the kids wanted to go to the zoo.

Suddenly the Lego pig was alive! So the pig said to the children, “Hop on, I’ll take you for a ride!”

The Kind Statue and Me by Luna

Once, I was at a party with a pink playground. There was a marble bunny holding a carrot that was blue and the leaf was red.

On the same day, I hugged the marble bunny. Then I saw Erina running with a sad face because she was late for the party.

“I feel left out!” said Erina.

All of a sudden, the marble bunny started to move. The statue and I  called Erina! We ran with Erina and then Erina and I played on the playground.

ANZAC Day Acrostic Poem by Klarissa

A lot of soldiers serving for their countries

Not knowing if they would survive

Zig zagging trenches they built

Awaiting mothers, wifes and other family members

Can they win for their country and survive?

Dreading what could happen

And poppies growing in Flanders Field

You can remember them on
