This award is presented to Shrish in recognition of his exceptional kindness, empathy, and consistent willingness to help others. Shrish is a truly kind-hearted member of our Prep class who regularly supports both teachers and classmates without being asked, whether it is helping with classroom routines, packing away, sharing resources, or assisting a friend who needs support. His calm, respectful manner and genuine consideration for others help create a welcoming and safe environment where everyone feels valued and included. Shrish also approaches learning with a positive attitude and growing confidence, listening carefully to instructions, participating willingly, and showing perseverance as he gives new tasks a go and works hard to do his personal best. Through his thoughtful actions, quiet leadership, and strong values, Shrish is a wonderful role model to his peers.

Joshin is the winner of the Kiwanis Award in recognition of his kind heart, strong work ethic and the outstanding growth he has shown this year. He has approached his learning with determination and resilience, making impressive progress across all areas. Joshin is a thoughtful and caring class member who consistently looks out for others, especially those in need of a friend. He offers support freely, encourages his peers and contributes positively to our classroom community each day. Joshin leads by example through his compassion, respect and commitment to doing his best.

This award recognises Annora for being an exemplary student who excels in Mathematics and has shown wonderful improvement in English. She is highly motivated, loves learning, and approaches every task with enthusiasm and determination. Annora is kind, generous, and always willing to support her peers in their learning or when they face friendship challenges. She has a strong drive to lead by example, sharing her knowledge and modelling the values of care, respect, and excellence in all that she does.

Arjun - For being a friendly and considerate member of Prep A. Arjun consistently shows respect and responsibility towards others in our classroom and school community. He approaches his learning with a positive attitude and always strives to complete tasks to the best of his ability. Arjun has demonstrated wonderful growth across many areas of the curriculum and takes pride in his work. He listens carefully to instructions, follows routines, and works hard to set himself up for success in his learning. Arjun is also a kind and supportive friend to his peers. He is always willing to lend a helping hand and ensures that others feel included and supported. His thoughtful nature and positive behaviour make him a valued member of our class. Well done, Arjun, on your fantastic achievements. We are so proud to watch you learn, grow, and succeed each day. Keep up the amazing work, superstar!

Imaya - This award recognises a student who consistently demonstrates kindness, positivity and enthusiasm in our classroom. Imaya is a caring member of our class who always shows empathy and respect towards others. Her cheerful nature helps create a welcoming environment, and she thoughtfully includes others in her friendship circle, ensuring everyone feels valued and included. Imaya arrives at school each morning with a friendly, welcoming smile and a positive attitude that brightens the classroom. She eagerly joins in on all learning activities and approaches each task with enthusiasm and curiosity. Imaya displays a genuine love of learning and confidently asks questions to deepen her understanding. Her willingness to participate, positive mindset and thoughtful behaviour make her a wonderful role model for her peers. Selene - For her dedication and enthusiasm in learning, Selene is being recognised for her outstanding readiness to learn, confident participation, and positive attitude in the classroom. Selene comes to school each day eager to engage and always gives her personal best in every lesson. She has been working hard in Literacy, confidently identifying and practising the sounds we are learning, including /m/, /t/, and /s/, and she enjoys using these sounds when reading and writing. In Numeracy, Selene is developing a strong understanding of patterns and can clearly explain what comes first, next, and last when ordering and sequencing. She is also building confidence with measurement through sequencing, thoughtfully putting events and steps in order and explaining her thinking using sequencing language. Selene continues to strengthen her understanding of time by confidently naming and using the days of the week, and she is always ready to answer questions and share her ideas during lessons. Selene’s cheerful attitude, strong effort, and willingness to participate make her a valued member of the class and a wonderful role model for her peers.

Saatvick - The Principal’s Learning Award for Term 1 is proudly presented to Saatvick! Congratulations, Saatvick, on always showing kindness, respect, responsibility and a growth mindset for learning! 

Throughout this term, you have always tried your hardest to be an empathetic and caring classmate. You are often the first to offer help to others, making everyone feel welcome, valued, and included. In everything you do, you show patience and understanding, creating a warm and supportive classroom environment.

You take responsibility for your learning and always give your best effort, even when things feel challenging. Your willingness to keep trying and your positive attitude inspire those around you every day.

Milan - Milan, what an incredible start you’ve made to Year 2!

From the very first weeks, you’ve shown just how eager you are to learn. Your curiosity shines every day. You ask thoughtful questions, you look for deeper meaning and you’re never afraid to explore an idea a little further. That spark you bring doesn’t just help you grow, it inspires the people around you to think more deeply too.

You’ve also shown such genuine respect for your teachers and classmates. You make mature choices to stay focused and you bring a calm, positive energy into the room. One of the things that stands out most is the way you encourage others. You cheer your friends on, you help them when they’re stuck and you lead by example. It’s clear that your classmates look up to you!

Your organisation has been outstanding as well. You come prepared and take responsibility for your materials, which allows you to ready to learn every single day. That level of independence is something to be really proud of!

Milan, this recognition is so well deserved. You’ve worked hard, you’ve shown kindness and leadership and you’ve grown so much already this term. You should feel incredibly proud of everything you’ve achieved this term.

Seyara - Seyara, thank you for your diligence in learning. In learning time, you always strive to achieve your personal best, even when learning gets challenging. You model respect to not only your peers, but also your teacher as you listen to whoever is speaking. 

In learning, you always ask rich clarifying questions, which enhances all students' understanding.

George - George consistently does the right thing and makes thoughtful, positive choices each day. He always tries his very best in all areas of his learning and shows wonderful persistence, even when tasks feel challenging. George is a respectful and responsible member of our class, leading by example and serving as a positive role model to others. His kindness, determination and commitment to learning make him someone we are incredibly proud of. George approaches every opportunity with enthusiasm and a genuine love of learning, inspiring those around him to do the same. He should feel extremely proud of all that he has achieved through his hard work and positive attitude.

Ruhani - Congratulations, Ruhani, on receiving the Principal Learning Award for Term 1! This is a wonderful achievement and a true reflection of your dedication and love of learning. Your curiosity and willingness to explore new ideas show how committed you are to doing your very best. I am consistently impressed by your focus during lessons, your excellent whole body listening, and the valuable contributions you make to our class discussions. You approach each day with readiness and responsibility, arriving organised and fully prepared for learning.

You set a fantastic example for your peers. What stands out most this term is your positive attitude towards learning. You actively seek feedback, reflect on ways to improve, and confidently challenge yourself to grow. Your determination and enthusiasm truly shine in everything you do. Keep striving for excellence!

Melika - Melika is a kind, caring and enthusiastic member of our classroom who always takes the time to support and encourage those around her. She consistently demonstrates empathy and compassion, making sure her classmates feel included, supported and valued.

Melika approaches all areas of her learning with determination and pride, always striving to produce work of the highest quality. Her strong work ethic and positive attitude towards learning allow her to achieve excellent results while continuing to challenge herself to improve. 

Melika is a wonderful role model for her peers, showing maturity beyond her years through her responsible behaviour and natural leadership. Her willingness to help others and lead by example makes her a valued and respected member of our class and school community.

Amasha - Congratulations Amasha!

Amasha consistently demonstrates the school value ‘Initiative’, by enthusiastically displaying helpfulness and willingness to assist within the classroom. She further applies empathy to others, by assisting her peers with her helpfulness. Amasha is courteous and polite and shows the utmost respect to all her teachers and fellow learners and understands that this value is important for all. She additionally is a wonderful team player, demonstrating great collaborative skills in learning and play, cooperating with others in a friendly manner. It has been wonderful to see Amasha’s confidence grow over the term. Amasha, you are a fantastic role model and we are so proud you are a member of 4A and GWPS!

Thidas - Congratulations to Thidas! Your persistence when you are challenged with a question and your motivation to learn more about that topic is outstanding. 

Thidas you have shown great orderliness within the classroom, with making sure you are always ready for learning by providing me with whole body listening, and also having all your belongings you need for the day organised and easily accessible. 

You have shown wonderful dedication and persistence while working on your learning this semester, by asking thoughtful questions and and taking risks to achieve success.

Alina - You are a focused and highly organised learner who consistently takes great pride in your schoolwork. Each task is approached with care, determination and a genuine commitment to achieving your very best.

In addition, you are a kind and supportive member of our school community. You readily assists others, showing patience, encouragement and empathy in your interactions. The School Value of Respect is consistently demonstrated through your words, actions and positive attitude each day both inside the classroom and out.

Manish - Manish is receiving the Principals Learning Award for his dedication to his schoolwork and the wider school community. Manish shows initiative in his learning, often going above and beyond to deepen his understanding and help those around him.

Klarissa - Congratulations Klarissa on receiving the Principal Learning Award for Term 1! Your hard work, bright intellect, and smooth transition into a new class has been truly commendable. Klarissa, you continuously exhibit a growth mindset, eagerly diving into new topics and showing a strong dedication to succeed. Your focus during lessons, attentive listening, and meaningful contributions to class discussions have left a lasting impression on our classroom. Klarissa, your enthusiasm for building friendships has helped create a supportive and ready-to-learn environment for your classmates. I am especially proud of the work you have completed so far, particularly in English where you have created imaginative and creative writing pieces. Your use of figurative language and fresh, original ideas captivate readers and inspire them to keep reading.
